Apple Releases MacBook Pro with Retina Display, MacBook Pro 17 will be Discontinued

Apple new 15-inch MacBook Pro with Retina Display
At the WWDC event in San Fransisco, Apple announced the latest generation of MacBook Pro laptop. Like the iPhones and new iPad, the laptop comes with Retina Display. The new MacBook Pro has a 15.4-inch display with a resolution of 2800 x 1800 pixels and pixel density of 216 ppi, still below iPhones and new iPad, but the highest resolution on a laptop. Apple also reduces the reflection on the new screen up to 75 percent.

The New MacBook Pro has a thickness of 0.7-inch or 1.78 cm and weighs under 4.5 pound (2041 gram). The processor used by it is the Intel Core i7 quad-core processor, which has a clock speed of 2.7 GHz with Turbo Boost up to 3.7 GHz. It also provides 16 GB of RAM with a speed of 1600 MHz and 768 GB of flash storage.

The battery life time on stand-by mode is claimed to reach 30 hours. The ports available on new MacBook Pro are an SD slot, an HDMI port, a USB port, two Thunderbolts (one for FireWire 800, the other for Gigabit Ethernet). The new laptop has been shipped and sold from $2199.
